High performance UHMWPE Composite Pipe passed the appraisal on March 25, the high performance UHMWPE steel skeleton reinforced composite pipe and process equipment technology project jointly completed by Taizhou Shenshi Plastic Co., Ltd. and Changzhou University passed the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements organized by China Federation of petroleum and chemical industries in Beijing. The appraisal expert group believes that the overall technology of this independent innovation achievement has reached the international advanced level. The successful implementation of the project is expected to accelerate the pace of replacing steel pipes for transportation with plastic composite pipes

the UHMWPE steel skeleton reinforced composite pipe developed by the project has excellent comprehensive performance, with a pressure bearing capacity of up to 10MPa. It is resistant to the corrosion of printed plastic products such as H2S, CO2, cl- and acid, alkali, organic solvents and other media. Its impact strength is 5 times that of high-density polyethylene, and its wear resistance is 7 times that of carbon steel. At the same time, it has the characteristics of anti scaling, low friction and low temperature resistance. At present, the product has been widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, coal mine, mining, thermal power, channel dredging and other industries, showing unique advantages and prospects

aiming at the domestic and international market demand, Taizhou Shenshi Plastic Co., Ltd. has independently developed the UHMWPE pipe forming process technology and equipment for screw solid-phase conveying and extrusion and rapid heating and shaping of die head. It has developed a pattern pipe with the UHMWPE printing key as a plastic granulator to increase the numerical weight of polyethylene heated by coal and natural gas as a supplement, with the pattern pipe as the inner pipe and the high-strength spring steel wire as the reinforcing layer A new type of composite pipe with modified high density polyethylene as protective layer and polyolefin special adhesive resin as interlayer.
